Youth (7th grade and above) from St. Paul’s, along with adult chaperones, typically take at least one missions trip during the summer months. They devote a week of their time to share their faith, serve others, build relationships, and reflect upon God’s Word with other youth groups inside and outside of the Akron community. Activities on past trips have included refurbishing old houses, renewing parking lots and landscaping, and teaching and playing with the children, preparing meals, attending discussions about their faith, praying together, and reflecting on each day’s experiences and lessons. Past domestic destinations for missions trips have included Birmingham, AL; Niagara Falls, NY; Mon Valley, PA; and New Orleans, LA. Past international trips have been to El Salvador and Haiti. Scholarship money is typically available as needed to help cover the costs of food and travel.
