Confirmation (7th Grade)

What is Confirmation?

Confirmation is preparation! Preparation for what? Preparation for a more mature understanding of the faith and a greater commitment to the church and a life of faith.

Confirmation class is exciting! How so? Well, generally the group is large, usually twenty or more students bonding together and having a good time. Special events include an all night lock-in early in the year, and a spring retreat to Salt Fork State Park, just before the Confirmation service in May with our Bishop.

Confirmation class is strong! Under the strong leadership of Beth Guenther and Jim Mothersbaugh, who have successfully mentored our students for over a decade, confirmation has become a great stepping stone to our youth group and to our Sunday Youth Forum (grades 8-12), led by Kris Drew and Rachel Mothersbaugh, which focuses currently on Christian commitment and character.
